Dessert Around Nassau - Morley

Have you ever realized that "stressed" is "desserts" spelled backward? When our agents need some balance in their lives, they head to these five amazing dessert spots around Nassau and Paradise Island homes for sale

  1. Original Swiss Sweet Shop - Cable Beach West
The name is a bit of a tongue-twister, but everything else about the Original Swiss Sweet Shop is deliciously simple. After learning the secrets of pastry-making in Switzerland and other European countries, owner Armin Wernli came to The Bahamas 10 years ago to work at two local resorts. Now he creates mouthwatering treats such as Black Forest cake, Napoleons, and Key lime pie in his own bakery, down the street from Cable Beach homes for sale. Hours are 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

  2. The Bahamas Rum Cake Factory - East Bay Street
Enjoy one of the more iconic island flavors at the Bahamas Rum Cake Factory. In 2000, United Kingdom transplant George Bates opened a small shop near East Bay Street homes for sale to sell his rum cakes. They became such a sensation that they were named the "Official Rum Cakes of The Bahamas." In addition to the original flavor, the cakes are available in varieties such as cinnamon rum, chocolate rum, and Kentucky honey bourbon. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily except Sunday when doors close at 3 p.m.

  3. Hello Cupcake - Carmichael West
If you think bigger is always better, the delicate treats from Hello Cupcake will change your mind. Their beautifully crafted cupcakes, macarons, and cakesicles offer a few bites of perfection. They're always adding creative flavors such as cookie butter, churro, and peach bellini. Can't decide? Choose one of the ultimate treat boxes that include a few of everything. Place orders online for pickup from Monday through Saturday while you're touring Carmichael Road homes for sale

  4. Sun & Ice - Atlantis Paradise Island, Coral Towers Lobby
Remember those childhood trips to the ice cream parlor with your family? Chef Wayne Moncur does, and he opened Sun & Ice so today's families could have the same experience. Wayne applies the popular "farm-to-table" concept to ice cream by using quality ingredients such as fresh milk, cream, rich egg yolks, and pure cane sugar. Flavors take on a unique island twist with options like Sapodilla & Maple, Benny Cake Crumble, and Allspice Potato Bread & Coconut Candy. In the mood for something different? Try sorbet or gelato with thyme, avocado, and other savory ingredients. Sun & Ice is open from 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily.

  5. The Cookie Caterer - Mount Royal Avenue
Whether you dunk them or eat them as is, you can't go wrong with the classic and innovative treats from the Cookie Caterer. Flavors range from traditional options such as oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip to modern flavors like birthday cake and coconut tart. Indulge your sweet tooth with the decadent cream cheese-stuffed cookies. As if that weren't enough sinful goodness, the Cookie Caterer has turned some of their top flavors into whipped ice cream. Stop in after a day viewing New Providence homes for sale. Hours are 10:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

There's more to The Bahamas than spectacular scenery and delightful weather. Contact us at Morley for cheerful assistance with all your real estate questions.
